Training in Character and Excellence in Ethics

characterED offers a suite of training programmes designed to cultivate character, integrity, and ethical excellence among leaders in education, business, and public service.

Rooted in the Jubilee Centre’s interdisciplinary research on moral character, virtue ethics, and professional wisdom, our training enables leaders to navigate complex ethical challenges with clarity, courage, and compassion.

We combine academic insight with applied learning, helping participants translate ethical understanding into confident, values-driven action.

Our focus is on developing ethical excellence through a focus on character rather than a reliance on codes of conduct.

Benefit from:

  • Research-informed learning grounded in moral philosophy, psychology, and leadership

  • Tailored programmes shaped to your organisational context

  • Reflective and experiential approaches that strengthen ethical, character-focused cultures

Our Approach

Our programmes draw on contemporary research in moral philosophy, psychology, and educational leadership, integrating these with reflective and experiential learning methods.

Each course is tailored to the needs and context of the organisation, encouraging participants to examine their own leadership practice and to foster ethical character focused cultures within their teams and institutions.

characterED’s leadership training can be delivered as short courses, workshops, or extended development programmes both in person and online, and may include:

  • Reflective leadership seminars
  • Case-based ethical dialogue sessions
  • Coaching and mentoring for character support
  • Evaluation (including follow-up) for impact assessment

Through these programmes, characterED supports leaders to develop the ethical insight and moral resilience required to lead with authenticity and to promote excellence in ethics across their organisations.
